Advances in the effective and safe medications over recent years have made mental disorders and other conditions to help improve the lives of patients who are struggling with a variety of mental health problems.

Our psychiatrists work closely with our patients, the families, therapists, coaches and anyone else that patients would like to be involved in their care. We focus on providing our patients with more time and individualized care. We pride ourselves in providing comprehensive and quality care in medication management, as well as other areas where psychiatrists can be helpful.

Imran Akram, M.D., Board Certified Adult, General and Geriatric Psychiatrist

Imran Akram, MD bio picture Dr. Imran Akram is an Adult, General and Geriatric Psychiatrist who has significant experience with the most effective treatments for acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Dr. Akram has experience treating serious mental health disorders, other medical illnesses, phase of life problems, substance abuse, eating disorders and general medical conditions requiring psychiatric support. Dr. Akram has significant experience with working with teenagers, adults and geriatric clients. Dr. Akram completed fellowships at the University of Virginia Health System and Emory University. He has also worked as a psychiatrist at Prince William Hospital and the Alexian Brothers Health System outside of Chicago.
